Tuxedo Knights are a close vocal harmony group consisting of Tom Bell, Rick Porter and Eddie Hastings. The group came into existence because of an original idea of Tom who, through his love of the seventies, wanted to form a show to re-create the glory days of glam rock, consequently GLAMSLAM was born. They were almost instantly well received but, certain venues found that the pace and drive of the show was proving too much for thier clients, therefore a much calmer and more sophisticated show was required to compliment the glam image, and so, TUXEDO KNIGHTS came into being. Many names were banded about for the new show but none seemed to fit the bill, then during a conversation one day it was pointed out that the image being created was one of sophistication, three guys dressed smartly in black tuxedoes working the clubs and hotels during the evening, and the name TUXXX was suggested. Although it seemed a fair name it lacked the exact ring that was required. The group have always delegated responsibilites, and the job of publicity production fell to Eddie who was in the process of producing the first poster for the new show. He could see instantly that the name Tuxxx did not fall well on the page, and so working on the conversation of the day he came up with the new name TUXEDO KNIGHTS. When the others saw the new name it was agreed it sounded and felt right and now the name has become part of everyday language for all of us.

The delegation that exists within the group cuts out nearly all instances of confusion Eddie deals with websites, posters and all other publicity design. Tom and Rick deal with the musical content of the show, between them they have an excellent feel for what makes the Knights so special, and between them they produce the excellent backings that are key to smooth seamless performances night after night. regular meetings and rehearsals allow the exchange of ideas between the three Knights ensuring that the show is always fresh and of the highest standards possible. In short, Tuxedo Knights are exactly what they say they are, good friends with great harmonies and they are great company.
